Release Notes BSP-Yocto-Ampliphy-AM335x-PD23.1.0 ================================================ BSP-Yocto-Ampliphy-AM335x-PD23.1.0 2023-04-25 -------------------------------------------------- - Linux Kernel v5.15.82 * Tag: v5.15.82-phy2 - barebox 2022.09.0 * Tag: v2022.09.0-phy1 - Yocto 4.0.9 (kirkstone) - Qt 5.15.7 Tested Yocto Images: -------------------- see machines.txt Build Environment: ------------------ - Ubuntu 20.04 64Bit New Features: ------------- - Devicetree overlays have been introduced to enable or disable features for the individual machines starting from the upstream devicetrees. - A phytec-qt5demo-small-image for phyboard-wega-am335x-1 and phyboard-wega-am335x-2 has been added since the regular phytec-qt5demo-image does not fit on 128MB NANDs anymore without adjustments. Defeatured: ----------- - Removed the RT kernel branch - Removed phycore-am335x-7 support - Removed pcm-958 wifi module support Known Issues: ------------- - phycore-am335x-som / phycore-r2-am335x-som: * Boot tests showed in about 2 of 2000 boots that the SMSC LAN8710 phy could not be found. The PHY ID readout is wrong. The generic PHY driver will take over. Ethernet is still functional in this case. - phycore-am335x/phycore-r2-am335x: * rtc1 (AM335x RTC) has high deviation - CAN tests with 20kbit/s did not run successfully. All other CANopen standard bit rates are working. This can be fixed by switching the clock from 25 to 24 Mhz, but new problems with other components can occur. - The demo video runs with a low frame rate during loading within the Qt-Demo. - Suspend-to-RAM is not working with PCM-060. Notes: ------ - .sdcard images are now replaced with .wic images. - The EDT 7,0" display with capacitive touchscreen is supported, all others are untested. - RAUC has not been prepared for any software machine and is untested.
