In order to run qt applications in WEGA-AM335x use this root file system, root.tgz and root.ubi.

Also OTG_Ehternet feature is added with ip 192.168.56.4 especially for client uttunga.

Regarding "qmake", you don't need to compile ptxdist build system for qmake, just download and copy qt-cross.tar.gz 
in "/opt" folder in your PC or Laptop. 

Give the path of "qmake" which is in bin folder.
